The ONE Archives Foundation Welcomes Two New Staff Members!

We are thrilled to announce the addition of two team members to the ONE Archives Foundation staff: Christopher Mangum-James and Nicholas Bihr.

 Christopher Mangum-James
Development Manager

Born and raised in Los Angeles, he comes to the organization with over a decade of experience in the city’s non-profit sector. Previously, he oversaw annual giving and membership at UCLA’s Hammer Museum, where he connected supporters of the institution to Los Angeles’ diverse creative community. He also spearheaded several projects that have changed how visitors continue to engage with the museum, including the formulation and implementation of the Hammer’s free admission policy.

“Unlike any organization in Los Angeles, the ONE Archives Foundation engenders LGBTQ history by connecting the past to the most vital issues of today. I am excited to join the team and support the Foundation’s ever-growing programming and community engagement."

Nicholas Bihr
Education & Outreach Assistant

Nick originally joined the ONE Archives Foundation as a History Panels Project intern, working on our newest History Panel series, Transgender History. He graduated from the University of San Diego in 2016 with a B.A. in Ethnic Studies. As an undergraduate, Nick was awarded departmental honors for his scholar-activism, which culminated in an auto-ethnographic thesis project examining whiteness in LGBTQ communities. Nick is particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQ youth, serving as a weekly youth mentor at the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach.

"I'm excited to continue enhancing our existing education programs, and spearheading new, culturally-relevant education initiatives. Additionally, I cannot wait to welcome people at the ONE Gallery, West Hollywood when our exhibitions are on view!"
