Ash Ericson (he/him) is the Education Intern for One Institute through LA County Department of Arts and Culture’s Arts Internship Program.
Ash recently graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s in Design | Media Arts, specializing in games and animation. During his time at UCLA, he helped develop and exhibit multiple art shows within the DMA department, collaborated and illustrated issues for OutWrite Magazine (2024-2026), and was on the creative directors board for House of Bruin. He utilizes relief printmaking, digital interactive media, illustration and graphic design, along with LGBTQ+ history and studies to create his work. Throughout his practice, he focuses on themes of queer and transgender identity, nostalgia, and disability. Ash has a passion for art and LGBTQ education and accessibility, and strives to be a source for LGBTQ youth to feel recognized and represented.
In his free time, he is a musician and artist, and is passionate about transgender video game studies, LGBTQ history, the West Coast ballroom scene, drag, chickens, and game development.
