Holly M. (they/them)Board Member

    Holly M. (they/them) is an artist, educator, and museum leader dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ history, visibility, and cultural stewardship through public programming and community engagement. They serve as Director of Adult Public Programs at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where their work centers on creating inclusive, interdisciplinary experiences that connect audiences with art in meaningful and transformative ways.

    At LACMA, Holly M. develops programs that foreground dialogue, reflection, and belonging. In 2025, they co-created Visible and Vibrant: LGBTQ+ Artists in LACMA’s Collection with the Director of Gallery Learning, a docent-led tour series that highlights queer artists and explores how identity shapes artistic practice. They are also leading the museum’s growing focus on Art + Mindfulness initiatives, designing programs that integrate contemplative practices, close looking, and embodied engagement to support wellness, presence, and deeper connections with art.

    Holly M. has served on the steering committee of One Institute’s CIRCA: Queer Histories Festival since its founding in 2023, helping shape a citywide platform that uplifts LGBTQ+ histories and contemporary voices. Across their work, they are committed to fostering spaces where education, creativity, and community intersect.

    Previously, Holly M. was Director of Education at ESMoA in El Segundo, California, where they led award-winning inclusive programs, including initiatives supporting employment pathways for adults with developmental disabilities. They hold an M.A. in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and are the Founder and Artistic Director of The Nomadic Werewolf Museum, an experimental project rooted in play, collaboration, and storytelling.
