Madison (Madi) Kang is the Education Fellow at One Institute through the Harvard Mindich Service Fellowship Program.

Madi is a rising sophomore at Harvard College, intending to concentrate in Government with a secondary in Global Health & Health Policy. Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and of Chinese-Korean descent, she is passionate about healthcare and education policy, legal systems, and uplifting underserved communities.

Before joining the One Institute team, Madi served as a student board member in her school district, where she focused on curriculum advocacy, specifically on leadership and the preservation of humanities courses. Currently, her work includes writing for the Harvard Political Review and conducting research and recommendations for the Institute of Politics’ Policy Program and the Global Research and Consulting club.

Madi is a strong advocate for leveraging the arts and social sciences to empower unique identities and foster a sense of shared humanity. When taking a break from her studies, you can find her exploring new cities, trying new restaurants, and attending music festivals.
