Holly M. (they/them) is an artist, educator, and museum leader dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ history, visibility, and cultural stewardship through innovative public programming and community engagement. Their work brings together artists, communities, and cultural institutions to create programs that foster dialogue, expand access, and deepen connections between people and art.
Holly M. has held leadership roles in museum and gallery education, public programming, and community engagement, with expertise spanning program development, grant writing, audience development, and interdisciplinary cultural initiatives. At the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), they led adult public programming and developed initiatives connecting special exhibitions and the permanent collection with diverse audiences.
In 2025, Holly co-developed and launched Visible and Vibrant: LGBTQ+ Artists in LACMA’s Collection, a docent-led tour series centering LGBTQ+ artists and exploring the ways identity shapes artistic practice. The program expanded opportunities for public engagement with queer representation within a major institutional collection.
Holly M. has served on the CIRCA: Queer Histories Festival Steering Committee since the festival’s founding in 2023, contributing to its vision and commitment to amplifying LGBTQ+ histories and contemporary voices across Los Angeles. Across their work, Holly M. brings strong skills in grant writing, program development, and community engagement, with a proven track record of leading funded, interdisciplinary projects that advance both institutional goals and community impact.
Previously, Holly M. served as Director of Education at ESMoA in El Segundo, CA where they led inclusive, award-winning initiatives and developed programs supporting employment pathways for adults with developmental disabilities. They hold an M.A. in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and are the Founder and Artistic Director of The Nomadic Werewolf Museum, an experimental project rooted in play, collaboration, and storytelling.
