Join us for an online event featuring visual storytelling and conversation with Eric C. Wat, on the occasion of his recently released book, Love Your Asian Body: AIDS Activism in Los Angeles (October 2021).
From the publisher: “A community memoir, Love Your Asian Body connects the deeply personal with the uncompromisingly political in telling the stories of more than thirty Asian American AIDS activists.”
Eric Wat, a 2018-19 LGBTQ Research Fellow at One Institute, will share archival materials from research conducted at ONE Archives at the USC Libraries, as well as a selection of his oral history interviews. He will then be joined in conversation with One Institute’s Mellon/ACLS Public Fellow and Communications Manager Jaime Shearn Coan.
