Youth ages 14 and up are invited to join local drag performers for a joyful exploration of drag history and performance. Participants will examine archival sources from the artistic and political history of drag in West Hollywood, led by One Institute’s Director of Education Programs, Trevor Ladner, a.k.a. Miss Annie Thang; learn the fundamentals of drag artistry with Pickle, Drag Laureate of West Hollywood; and put on their dancing shoes with Kyra Jeté.
It’s Where I Belong is an exhibition presented by One Institute and curated by Lil Miss Hot Mess. The project is made possible through a 40th Anniversary Cultural History Grant from the City of West Hollywood. Special thanks to ONE Archives at the USC Libraries.
