Jude Schoenfeld (they/them) is the Director of Public Programs at One Institute.
They have been working in LGBTQ+ education, programs, and advocacy for the last six years as a professional facilitator and program, policy, and curriculum consultant.
Prior to joining the One Institute team, they served as the Coordinator of LGBTQ+ Programs for New York City Public Schools, working at central level within the school system to build sustainable programming for students, staff, and families. They provided year-round crisis support and administrative assistance to LGBTQ+ students and staff within the Department of Education, and built long-lasting programs across over 34 school districts.
Upon relocating to Los Angeles in 2025, they began working with History UnErased’s “The Past Is Always Present” Educational Theater Project with high school students on the West Coast. They also serve as the volunteer Program Manager for PFLAG LA, and are Founder and Director of Baby Teeth Film Festival, a film festival for stories by trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer filmmakers, which hosts events and screenings in Brooklyn, New York, Los Angeles, California, and worldwide virtually.
They hold a BA in Media Studies and a Minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Emerson College.
They currently reside in Echo Park with their partner and two identical cats, Bella and Blue. When not engaging in LGBTQ+ programming across the city, they enjoy cooking with and for friends, going to comedy shows, playing guitar, and watching films.
